The awning window is our second most popular window after the casement window. They may look different, but both these window types have lots in common when it comes to design and manufacturing.
Features
- Awning windows provide good ventilation in places like basements since they’re wider than they are tall and channel air indoors.
- Since it opens upwards to a limited extent, you can keep it open even if it rains.
- Weatherstripping strengthens it against strong winds.
- It’s highly secure since it does not open wide and comes with an ultra-strong locking mechanism.
PVC
PVC windows provide good insulation, are easy to maintain, and are affordable, so it’s little wonder that they’re our most popular windows.
Hybrid
Hybrid windows are made of PVC with the frames and sashes covered in aluminum cladding. This adds rigidity and elegance to the window, for unbeatable value.
Double hybrid
Double hybrid windows combine the good looks and superior durability of aluminum with the energy efficiency of PVC. They feature aluminum on the surface, indoors and out, over a frame (core) made of AAMA-certified recycled PVC.
Wood
Isothermic is a proud distributor of Belisle architectural windows and doors. We offer a variety of options in western red cedar, white oak, or mahogany.
Belisle windows are made exclusively of solid wood. They do not contain laminated wood, jointed wood, or plywood.

Sashes
You can have your sashes and frames painted at the factory regardless of which type of window you choose—PVC, hybrid, or hybrid double. Even better: choose a different colour for each side.

German-made Roto stainless steel multi-point hardware manufactured in Canada and the United States.
Mullions
You can match the colour of your mullions to your awning window, both inside and out. Mullions can also be installed between sealed panes to further enhance aesthetics and simplify cleaning without compromising on energy efficiency.
